Week 19- Pitching Mirra to Mentors and Final Touches on Our Movie

This week was all about refining our work and making final preparations. We hosted an exciting event in the lab where we engaged with numerous experts who served as mentors, helping us perfect the way we pitch our app and prepare for next week’s final event.

The mentors approached us, eager to learn about our project. Each team member had the chance to articulate the problem we are solving, explain the purpose of our app, and demonstrate a live demo of the app in action. It was a valuable opportunity to practice our presentation skills and receive constructive criticism.

The mentors provided invaluable feedback on how to sharpen our pitch and offered suggestions for enhancing the app. They advised us to focus on key aspects of our pitch, such as explaining why we chose to target parents instead of children, building trust through a clear explanation of the user journey during the onboarding process, and emphasizing the time and context in which users would be using the app. This experience significantly improved our ability to convey our journey and insights to others, making us better representatives of our project.

Additionally, we had the opportunity to work with a professional movie editor to finalize our movie. We added effects, fixed some frames, improved the sound, and polished the overall quality. Seeing the final version come together was incredibly satisfying.

We can’t believe it’s almost over. Next week, we will present our project at the final event. It’s very exciting, but also a little bit sad, as it marks the end of this incredible journey.
