Week 7: Step Flow

This week, our journey to revolutionize parent-teen relationships reached a major turning point.  We delved into defining our app through 4 steps that the user will go through. We had to think about what the user's input and the system's output will be in every step.It was very exciting to finally start imaging our app and thinking about cool features we would add to it.

Step 1: Personality and relationship questionnaire:

Our venture begins with a personality questionnaire, which lays the foundation for understanding parent-child dynamics. The parents is filling those questionnaires and The system creates an updated picture, which characterizes the user and his relationship with the teenager.

Step 2: Entering the interaction details:

Moving to the second level, users record or type interaction details. This informs the system to create deep reflection, which sets the stage for a deeper understanding of the parent-adolescent dynamic.

Step 3: Changing perspectives through reflection:

Recognizing the inherent bias, we encourage parents to step into their child's shoes. The system asks targeted questions, guiding users to empathically reflect on interactions from their child's perspective.

Step 4: Summary of conclusions, advice highlights

As we progress, the final stage wraps up the journey. The user decides to end the reflection process and receives a comprehensive summary from the system, which synthesizes reflections into conclusions, advice, and important highlights - a road map for improving the parent-adolescents relationship.

We're really looking forward to meeting industry mentors next week! They'll give us advice to improve our idea and help us find the right track.
